Twitter has just switched from 140 to 280 characters for everybody, so my timeline will be, no, might be, longer to read as it appears that the majority of tweets will stay below the oldest limit of 140 characters. So I don’t really care as it will not changed the usual usage of the social network — I wonder if is it still a social network seeing my TL.
Anyway I will update my Mastodon instance this morning, after having test the procedure on a old test server I keep to do such things. I hope that everything will update without any problem, but it’s a little bit creepy as I don’t fully mastering the full stack of technologies implied in this application. Will see in a couple of hours…
PS : At least I have publish this post as I received an update to the OS X Twitter client I use: Tweetbot \o/ I will have now the possibility to tweet up to 280 chars! What’s a nice… Not a all, in fact, I don’t care I said :-)
